ABOUT THE CHICAGO STYLE The Chicago citation style is used widely for academic writing in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. There are two formats of referencing within the Chicago style. One is notes-bibliography and the other author -date. This guide shows examples for the notes -bibliography format.
